Man jailed for likeness to robber
Surveillance photos from a Dec. 27, 2007, robbery of a BB& T Bank in Sumter show a suspect who bears resemblance to Richard Jolly. At the time, however, Jolly already was jailed at the Charleston County Detention Center, charged with robbing banks in Mount Pleasant and West Ashley on Oct. 25. Authorities have since dropped the charges and think the same man could have been responsible for at least a half dozen robberies in South Carolina.

Family and Friends: Welcome to our campaign site, and thank you for the opportunity to be your next representative on Charleston County Council! Emily and I are very excited at the task at hand, and over the next few months, we’ll be calling on each of you to help elect a councilman with conservative morals, strong community ties, and effective leadership skills. The time is right to support and elect a councilman that can make a difference in the life of each Charlestonian. Again, thank you for your prayers and continued support, and may God continue to bless you and your family.

Markclark Expressway Expansion

Finishing the Mark Clark extension will have a direct impact upon the citizens of District 7. A number of constituents continue to express concern over the traffic congestion between parts of West Ashley and the islands. As evidenced by today’s findings in the Post and Courier, the traffic flow on rural island roads has caused it to be named the most dangerous roadway in the state of South Carolina. Finishing the Mark Clark extension is literally a life or death issue. Clearly, if we intend to maintain our quality of life in the Charleston area, we must provide the necessary infrastructure and finish what we started.
